Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the speed of image processing by using a filter means which performs the multiplication between an image and a filter function in a frequency space in a state where the Fourier transform FFT points are kept short, a means which calculates the return error component of said filter means from the image and the filter function, and a means which applies an error correcting process to the image of the filter output. CONSTITUTION:Projection information (the value equivalent to transmitted X rays with a CT device) is stored in a projection data storing means 1. A FET2 expands the information read out of the memory 1 and applies the fast Fourier transform to the expanded information. An information expanding part has the shortage of FFT points. An weight function W is stored in a filter function part 4 and then undergoes the Fourier transform through a FFT5. A filter 3 performs the convolution arithmetic (multiplication) between the projection information P(i) on the frequency areas of both FFT2 and 5 and the filter function. An error delta(h) calculation part 7 calculates a return error delta(h) based on the positive or negative delta(h). A correction part 8 corrects the projection information q(i) obtained by transforming the processing result of the filter 3 into a space area via an inverse Fourier transform part 6 by means of the error delta(h) for acquisition of the information q'(i). In such a way, the projection information can be corrected at a high speed.
