Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize a small size of a reek eliminator device by only cooling a re-evaporated steam and eliminating reek. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust pipe 2 is connected to an outlet of a steam trap 1. At an upper portion of an exhaust port 15 of the exhaust pipe 2 and between the exhaust pipe 2 and a casing member 11, long plates 3, 4 with a U-shaped cross section are vertically combined and helically arranged to define an upper water accumulating chamber 16. Further, a lower water accumulating chamber 18 is formed to communicate with the exhaust portion 15 and the upper water accumulating chamber 16. A water level 13 of the upper water accumulating chamber 16 is lower than the water level of the lower water accumulating chamber, i.e., the height of a projection 14. Consequently, since only the re- evaporated steam is cooled to eliminate reek, the upper water accumulating chamber can be made smaller, thus realizing a small size of the reek eliminator.
