Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the places to be welded as well as to enhance the reliability of the title capacitor by a method wherein a buffer spring is interposed between cells, and a laminated body is integrally supported by a sleeve-like member. CONSTITUTION:An electric double-layer capacitor 10 is equipped with a cell- laminated body 11 in which capacitor cells 11a and 11b are laminated. A Belleville spring 12 is interposed between the cells 11a and 11b, and the laminated body 11 is integrally formed with a sleeve supporting member 13. An internal insulating sleeve 15a, which is used to prevent the electrical conduction between the cells 11a and 11b, is provided in a metal sleeve 14 with which the laminated body 11 is integrally supported, and an external insulating sleeve 15b is coated outside the sleeve 15a. Lead terminals 16a and 16b are fixed by welding on both electrode surfaces of the cell laminated body 11.
