Abstract

PURPOSE:To reproduce all pieces of information recorded on guiding grooves or in the middle of the guiding grooves by adding an electric offset to a dislocation signal generated from a discoloration signal generating circuit according to an information recording position detected by a recording position detector. CONSTITUTION:At the time of reproducing the information, when the dislocation signal generating circuit indicates the dislocating quantity of a light from a prescribed recording position, for example, between adjoining guiding grooves 51, the recording position detector detects whether the information recording position of an optical disk to reproduce the information is on the guiding grooves 51 or between the adjoining guiding grooves. When the detected recording position is on the guiding grooves, an offset adding circuit 11 adds the electric offset to the dislocation signal, the light is driven based on the dislocation signal where the offset is added, and the recorded information on the guiding grooves 51 is reproduced. Thus, regardless of whether the information is recorded on or between the guiding grooves 51 of the optical disk, the recorded information can be reproduced by a simple system constitution.
