Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of deformation and crack and to easily obtain a sintered ceramics body having excellent quality at a low cost by imposing a ceramics molding on ceramics balls or housing said molding in ceramics powder, etc., and sintering the molding. CONSTITUTION:The ceramics molding 1 is imposed on the ceramics balls (e.g.: calcined alumina balls) 2 of <=2mm diameter which are spaced from each other in a manner as to avoid the rolling against each other and are laid in this state within a ceramics plate material 3 which is imposed on a hearth F and is attached with a weir part 4 at the end margin. The molding is otherwise embedded into the relatively coarse ceramics powder 5 (the above-mentioned balls 2 may be used in place of the powder 5 at need) of >=100mu grain size which are put into a ceramics container 6 placed on the hearth F in a manner as to attain the loosest possible state. This molding is then heated and sintered to a prescribed temp. and the shrinkage arising from the calcination is smoothly absorbed via the balls 2 and the powder 5. The sintered ceramics body which is not deformed and cracked is thereby obtd.
