PURPOSE:To intend to improve the strength of a fiber-reinforced composite material by making the residues of pill-like fibers with a diameter of more than 5mm in a composition consisting of an inorganic fiber an hydraulic inorganic binding material to be less than 0.3wt.%, by means of grinding in a ball mill etc. CONSTITUTION:5-40wt.% of an inorganic fiber such as glass-wool, rock wool etc., and 5-60wt.% of a hydraulic inorganic binding material such as Portland cement etc., are mixed together. This mixture is mixed and ground in dry state by using a ball mill, roller mill, screen mill etc., to make the residues of the pill-like fiber with diameter of more than 5mm to be less than 3.0wt.% and the distribution in fiber length of the inorganic fiber to be 3.0-0.01mm. Because the fiber and the binding material are uniformly distributed in the obtained composition, the strength of the inorganic composite can be increased by 80-30%.
