Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct the radiation quantity of unnecessary infrared rays generated in the measuring instrument by providing a rotating device and then detecting an infrared ray from an infrared ray reference light source through an infrared- ray transmission window. CONSTITUTION:When the radiation quantity of infrared rays emitted by an object of measurement is measured, the infrared-ray detecting device 2 detects infrared rays which are the sum of infrared rays which are emitted by the object of measurement and transmitted through the infrared-ray transmission window 1 and infrared rays emitted by the device 2 itself. A rotary rack 5 which holds the window 1 rotatably is held by a housing 4 provided with the infrared-ray reference light source 6 and rotated by the rotating device 7 to the position where the infrared ray from the light source 6 is transmitted through the window 1. Here, the infrared ray from the light source 6 is detected and an electronic circuit 3 finds the difference from the infrared rays emitted by the object of measurement to correct and cancel the infrared ray emitted by the device 2 itself, thereby identifying the radiation quantity of the infrared rays emitted by the object of measurement.
