Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a waterproof material having no pinhole and good feel, by extruding a specific thermoplastic resin layer to laminate the same to a porous base material. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic resin 2 heated and melted by an extruder 4 to be extruded in a film form from the slit of a T-die 5 and brought into contact with a porous base material to be immediately laminated thereto under pressure between a cooling roll 6 and a press rubber roll 7, and the molten thermoplastic resin 2 is quenched and solidified to obtain a laminate 3. As the thermoplastic resin 2, a resin whose melt viscosity at temp. lower than extrusion temp. by 20 deg.C is 5X10<4> poise or more is pref. and there are a polyurethane resin and a polyamide resin. As the porous base material 1, cloth, nonwoven fabric and paper composed of a synthetic or natural fiber are designated. By this method, a thin laminate having no pinhole can be obtained without damaging the feel of the porous base material.
