Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the magnetic field between contact gaps and improve the heat discharge of a conductive contact portion by surrounding a magnet body of a switching contact point with a conductor having a large conducting capability, and forming an electric connection section between a current bolt and a contact plate closing the switching contact point with the conductor. CONSTITUTION: A contact body 1 is composed of a circular magnet body 2, the coil or partial coil 5 of an exciting winding for the magnetic field surrounding it, insertion bodies 3a, 3b, and a contact plate 7. The contact body 1 is conductively connected to a current bolt 6 via a hub 11. The outer peripheral face 4 of the magnet body 2 is inclined against the contact point axis. The contact face with the partial coil 5 is increased for the height (h), and the heat conduction resistance is decreased accordingly. Magnetic lines of force are nearly uniformly distributed over the whole width and flow into contact gaps 16 through the contact plate 7. A switching contact point can be formed by the multi-layer coil 5, and the effective magnetic field in the axial direction can be generated by a slight short circuit current.
