Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a contamination of indoor air and an occurrence of fire by a method wherein when discharging gas is discharged from a discharging cylinder connected to a main body of a combustion unit in a safety device for a heater etc., a controller unit is operated to terminate combustion in the combustion unit. CONSTITUTION:A safety device for a combustion unit 1 is provided with a temperature sensor 12 fixed to a discharging cylinder 3 at an indoor unit to detect a temperature of the discharging cylinder 3, control units 4 and 13 having an input of a temperature signal from the temperature sensor 12 and terminating combustion in the combustion unit 2 when a detected temperature of the temperature sensor 12 is lower than a predetermined temperature, and a timer device T for delaying a combustion terminating operation through the controller units 4 and 13 by a predetermined time. Accordingly, after a predetermined time of the timer T elapses from a starting of combustion, the discharging gas is leaked at a connection part of the discharging cylinder 3. In case that a detected temperature of the temperature sensor 12 is low, since combustion in the combustion unit 2 is terminated through operation of the controller units 4 and 13, the indoor air can be prevented from being contaminated and a human body can be prevented from falling into a dangerous state. In addition, hot discharged gas is prevented from being discharged into the indoor area.
