Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent rust formation by coating a resin paint having specific characteristics to an aluminum wheel, then coating a paint essentially consisting of a thermosetting resin thereon. CONSTITUTION:The paint essentially consisting of the thermoplastic or thermosetting resin having 50-130 deg.C glass transition temp., 20,000-200,000 number average mol.wt. and 10,000-100,000cp melt viscosity at 80-150 deg.C is coated on the edge part of the aluminum wheel. The paint essentially consisting of the thermosetting resin having -20-30 deg.C glass transition temp. and 10,000-100,000 number average mol.wt. is then coated thereon until the coated film attains 15-30mu thickness. The coating is cured by heating to 80-200 deg.C. The aesthetic ornamentality is thereby improved.
