Abstract

CONSTITUTION:An exhaust pipe 5 is connected with the exhaust port or an engine and a muffler is connected with the downstream edge part of the exhaust pipe 5, and a tapered pipe part 7 whose diameter is contracted to the exhaust downstream side is installed midway in the exhaust pipe 5, and the outer periphery of the tapered pipe part 7 is covered by an outer box 8 as outer installation member. and an expansion chamber 9 is formed between the both 7 and 8. The first outside pipe 15 made of punching metal is arranged on the outside of the tapered pipe part 7, and the second outside pipe 15 made of punching metal is arranged on the outside of the outer pip 11, and the third outer pipe 20 made of the punching metal is arranged on the downstream side of the first outer pipe 11, on the outside of the tapered pipe part 7. The space 18 formed between the first and second outer pipes 11 and 15 is charged with a sound absorbing material 24.
