Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the title foam with a long size and skin surface, by kneading a chlorosulfonated PE rubber component with a crosslinking agent, a softener, a colorant and a blowing agent and molding the resulting mixture by continuous extrusion crosslinking and foaming. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. chlorosulfonated PE rubber component (A) comprising 30-70wt.% high-viscosity chlorosulfonated PE of a Mooney viscosity (100 deg.C) >=90 and 70-30wt.% medium- to low-viscosity chlorosulfonated PE of a Mooney viscosity (100 deg.C) <90 is kneaded with 3-6pts.wt. crosslinking agent (B) (e.g., MgO), 30-70pts.wt. softener (C) (e.g., chlorinated paraffin), a blowing agent (D) (e.g., dinitrosopentamethylenetetramine), 1-5pts.wt. colorant (E) which is an inorganic pigment, an organic (fluorescent) pigment (e.g., ultramarine blue) and, optionally, a blowing aid, a crosslinking accelerator, an inorganic filler, etc., (F). The resulting mixture is molded by continuous extrusion crosslinking and foaming to obtain the title foam having a tensile strength <=4kg/cm<2> and having a continuous smooth skin and closed cells.
