Abstract

CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. chlorosulfonated PE component (A) which is a mixture of 30-70wt.% high-viscosity chlorosulfonated PE of a Mooney viscosity (100 deg.C) >=90 with 70-30wt.% medium- to low-viscosity chlorosulfonated PE is kneaded with 3-6pts.wt. crosslinking agent (B) (e.g., MgO), 30-70pts.wt. softener (C) ( e.g., chlorinated paraffin ), a blowing agent (D) (e.g., dinitrosopentame thylenetetramine) and, optionally, a blowing aid, a crosslinking accelerator, a reinforcing agent, an inorganic filler, etc., (E). The resulting mixture is molded by continuous profile extrusion crosslinking and foaming to obtain the title long foam having a continuous smooth skin and closed cells in the inside and having a profile cross section.
