Abstract

PURPOSE:To supply an adequate liquid crystal driving voltage according to an angle to a liquid crystal display plate by detecting the adjusted angle of the display plate and changing the source voltage of a liquid crystal driving circuit. CONSTITUTION:A variable resistor 5 is rotated by means of a gear 3 and a gear 4 and the input voltage of an A/D converter 61 changes upon rotation of the liquid crystal display plane 1. The output thereof is inputted to a conversion circuit (ROM) 62. Namely, the data inputted to the ROM 62 is the data indicating the rotating angle of the liquid crystal display plate 1. The relation with the value of the driving voltage to provide the best visibility according to the angle of the display surface of the liquid crystal display plate 1 is previously stored in the ROM 62. The optimum liquid crystal driving voltage VLCD is, therefore outputted according to the angle of the display surface if the output of the ROM 62 is subjected to a D/A conversion by a D/A converter 634. The liquid crystal driving voltage VLCD is inputted to the liquid crystal display plate 1 to determine the contrast of the display plate 1. The adequate liquid crystal driving voltage is thereby automatically generated according to the angle of the liquid crystal display plate and the good visibility is obtd. without using a manual adjustment.
