Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the condition checking from a telephone set through the line interface part of a text with a mail subscriber by providing a function to switch in accordance with whether an opponent is a telephone set or a text terminal, at the line, interface part of the text. CONSTITUTION:A line interface part 1 of a text in a complex mail device judges whether an opponent is a telephone set or a text terminal, the line is switched by a switching means 2 and connected to a line control part 3 of the telephone set. Consequently, the telephone set line control part 3 informs the subscriber of mail of the information of the communication condition for plural media such as a voice and a text by a voice guidance. Thus, since the condition checking can be executed through a telephone set by the subscriber of the mail, the condition checking service can be executed without depending on the standard of the text terminal, the telephone set exclusive-use line interface is not necessary and therefore, the line can be effectively used.
