Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the separation of a RF pilot signal and a received signal and to correct variation in the gain of a receiver by controlling the receiver gain by using the RF pilot signal separated by the receiver by using part of a sent signal for the RF pilot signal. CONSTITUTION:Part of the sent signal from a transmitter 4 leaks out of a transmission/reception switch 3 to the side of the receiver 14. Part of sent electric power is extracted by a directional coupler 2 provided at the entrance of an antenna 1 and inputted to a frequency converter 5. The sent signal inputted to the frequency converter 5 becomes the RF pilot signal, which is applied to the input of the receiver 14 through a directional coupler 5. This RF pilot signal is separated by a band-pass filter 11, a detecting circuit 12, and an AGC circuit 13 and used to control the gain of a variable gain amplifier 9.
