Abstract

PURPOSE:To drill a perpendicular hole effectively by using a suspended weight which displays perpendicularity correctly, detecting the movement of the weight by a noncontact distance sensor and finding the center point of the motion of the weight, and using it as a planning line. CONSTITUTION:The drilling machine M is suspended by a wire wound around a winch (not shown in figure) on the ground and drills the hole H by its own weight. A wire W2 as the drilling planning line, on the other hand, is fitted with the weight 1 atop and its opposite end is wound around another wire reel R2. A template T is installed at the upper part of the hole H, a hole O is formed at the part of the planning line, and the wire W2 is run through the hole O. Consequently, the angle of deflection f the weight 1 is reduced and a cylindrical body 2 provided with the sensor is fitted to the upper part of the drilling machine M. Normally two weights are used for one drilling machine, the torsion of the drilling machine M can be measured, and the wire reel R2 and wire W2 are provided respectively. The signal from the sensor is inputted to a computer C through a cable W1 and a reel R1 and the arithmetic result of a computer C is displayed on a display device.
