Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate compartment work of header chambers by integratedly forming compartment walls for dividing the inside of a header into a plurality of header chambers to partition members inserted along the axial direction of the header. CONSTITUTION:Refrigerant pipes 2 are connected in each header chamber 16 divided along the axial direction of the chambers 13 of headers 4, 5 and zigzag refrigerant passages 17 are wholly formed by compartment walls 15. And since the compartment walls 15 are integratedly bent and formed on the ends of partition plates 10-12 on which both side ends thereof are abutted on the inner surface of the headers 4, 5, the compartment walls 15 are inserted in the condition that the side ends of the partition plates 10-12 are abutted on the inner surface of the headers 4, 5 in addition to circumferential ends thereof and the position in the headers 4, 5 is stabilized. Therefore, positioning and joining work of partition members 9 in the headers 4, 5 can easily be performed and work is improved by saving trouble correspondingly in the compartment work of header chambers.
