Abstract
PURPOSE: To precool the material air while reducing pressure loss by branching cooling wafer being introduced to a water washing cooling tower into two directions after being boosted through a pump, introducing one of them to the intermediate stage of the water washing cooling tower and the other to the upper section of the water washing cooling tower after being cooled through a chiller. CONSTITUTION: Cooling water C being introduced to a water washing cooling tower 20 is branched into two directions after being boosted through a pump 11 and one of them is introduced, under normal temperature, to a cooling water introducing section 22a at the intermediate stage of the water washing cooling tower 20 while the other 15 introduced from a cooling water introducing section 22b at the upper stage after being cooled through a chiller 23. Flow rate of the cooling water C being introduced to the water washing cooling tower 20 is regulated by valves 24, 25 and returned from the lower section of the water washing cooling tower 20 through a valve 12 to a cooling water facility such as a water receiving tank or a cooling tower, after cooling maternal air A. Since only the cooling water being introduced to the upper stage is cooled down through a chiller, required heat exchanging quantity of refrigerant can be reduced, pressure loss can be suppressed through direct heat exchanging system and unit power of compressor for material air can be reduced.
