Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to prevent extraordinary temperature rise, to maintain a stable catalytic combustion where no backfire phenomenon occurs, and to obtain a clean waste gas function and a high radiant efficiency by constituting the proximity of a combustion cylinder positioned at the rearmost part of a bent reflection plate covering a combustion cylinder provided with a cylindrical honey-comb catalyst, of a low reflection and a high heat absorptive material. CONSTITUTION:A premixed gas causes an oxidation reaction mainly on the outer surface of a catalyst cylinder 7, and the catalyst cylinder 7 is heated and a waste gas flows into a discharge part 9. Radiant heat from the catalyst cylinder 7 heated to an incandescent state passes through a glass cylinder 8 covering its periphery and is dispersed to the entire periphery. Further, the radiant heat is reflected by a reflection plate 10 covering substantially the half periphery of the rear surface, and frontwardly concentrated and discharged. Since a non-reflection layer 12 made into low reflection and high heat absorption by flame coating alumina to the rear surface part of the reflection plate 10, heat radiated to the rear surface is absorbed by the non-reflection layer 12, and is radiated to the back surface via the reflection plate 10, and partial extraordinary temperature rise of the catalyst cylinder 7 can be prevented.
