Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable a reliable detection, for a track section through which signal current synchronous with the frequency of train current flows, by detecting the fact that asynchronous current has flowed in due to leakage baed on the presence of a higher harmonic component together with a modulated wave in the output of a demodulator. CONSTITUTION:A portion adjacent to a synchronous section TP and a asynchronous section TB which are separated by inserting an insulating material 4 to rails 3 is provided with a detection loop 5 composed of transceiver coil. The component of frequency fP is extracted from the train current PS of the synchronous section TP, a sending carrier wave fC1 is generated by an oscillator 12, a modulated wave fS of lower frequency thereof is also generated by an oscillator 14, a sum frequency fi is generated by a modulator 15, and a sending signal fA is generated by a modulator 16. On the other hand, the sending signal fA and the 15th higher harmonic wave fb of the current fS passing to the asynchronous section TB are extracted by BPF23 and given to a demodulator 24, the output thereof is sent to a detector 26, and a leakage detecting output is sent out when the higher harmonic component is larger than the modulated wave.
