Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce generation of short shot defects of a thin wall section and make a device compact by filling a molding material in a first cavity divided from other sections by means of a movable weir surrounding sections hard to be filled with the molding material and a gate and then moving the weir to a retreated position. CONSTITUTION:A cyclic holding channel 15 is formed in a manner that a gate 4 and a thin wall section 26 are positioned inside the channel on the lower surface of a fixed mold 5, and a weir 8 is held in the holding channel 15. When a molding material is injected from a gate 4 in the state of disposing said weir 8 protrudingly in a dividing position to form a first cavity 9, the molding material is filled completely in the first cavity 9. Then the molding material is flowed into a space delta and the weir 8 is moved upwardly by the action of injection pressure of the molding material, filled in the whole of a cavity 2 to form a molded product 1. As the molding material is filled in the other parts of the cavity after being filled in the thin wall section and the like as above-mentioned, short shot defects can be reduced.
