Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a foamed molded article having a smooth surface by injecting and filling up foaming resin in the cavity of a molding metal dies, making then a slide core retreat and making the foaming resin flow in and foam inside a space formed in an insert. CONSTITUTION:After the slide core 5 is projected inside the cavity 3 under the condition that the dies are opened, the insert 6 is put on the core 5 and set and then the closure of the dies is conducted. Next, after pressure is given to the inside of the cavity 3 by means of gas such as N2 and air, the foaming resin R is injected and filled up in the cavity 3 through the intermediary of a sprue 8. After draining of pressure gas is conducted, the slide core 5 is made to retreat and thereby the space 11 is formed inside the insert 6. Simultaneously with the formation of the space 11, the resin R inside the cavity 3 is made to flow into the space 11 under the inside foaming pressure and inside foaming is performed there. Next, when the dies are opened afte they are cooled for a required time, the foamed molded article having a smooth surface with no shrink mark can be obtained.
