Abstract
PURPOSE:To mix a plurality of liquids efficiently, by making the sectional area of a discharge port of a mixing chamber larger than that of a slot for effecting impingement against a surface so that the velocity of impinging streams from said slot is made very high. CONSTITUTION:An impingement plate 5 which is a little smaller than the interior dimension of a mixing chamber 1 is installed in such a way that one surface of said plate faces a slot 3 of an inlet member to effect impingement on said surface, which member is provided on the mixing chamber 1 with its port directed to the interior of said chamber, wherein the axial direction of said port is nearly perpendicular to the surface of the plate 5. Below the impingement plate 5 a discharge port member 6 is provided. The sectional area Z1 of the discharge port 8 of said member 6 is made larger than the sectional area A1 of the slot 3. In this way, the discharge rate of the mixed liquids through the discharge port 8 is increased, so that the internal pressure P4 in the chamber 1 can be decreased. As a result, the velocity of an impingement stream Lc1 from the slot 3 can be increased, causing the diffusion, or dispersion of liquids on the plate 5 to be increased, with the result that uniformly dispersed, mixed liquids are discharged or ejected from the discharge port 8 of the discharge port member.
