CONSTITUTION:A disk cache control part 1 includes a continuous block searching part 2, a pointer linking part 3, an entry table 4, a cache memory 5, etc. The table 4 stores the continuous block valid flags 4-1, the continuous block pointers 4-2, etc. The part 2 searches the table 4 by making use of an idle time of the part 1 to obtain the entries of the continuous blocks and turns on the flag 4-1 of a relevant entry to show that the entries of the continuous blocks are linked together. Then the pointers 4-2 are successively set to point the following block entries. Thus the continuous block entries are successively linked together.
