Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the title growth regulator, containing a specific quaternary ammonium salt and capable of exhibiting excellent effects on promotion of growth and increase in yield of corn. CONSTITUTION:A growth regulator obtained by containing a quaternary ammonium salt expressed by formula I [R1-R3 are 1-22C alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, allyl, methallyl, aromatic nucleus, aromatic nucleus having 1-22C alkyl or formula II (Y is 1-4C alkylene; n is 1-100; M is 1-22C alkyl and alkyphenyl, phenethylphenyl or benzylphenyl); R4 is 1-22C alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, formula III, benzyl or 1-22C alkylbenyl; A is 1-22C alkyl, hydroxyalkyl and alkylaryl, 6-10C aromatic nucleus, OH-substituted aromatic nucleus, allyl, methallyl, vinyl and styryl], e.g. dodecylmethyldihydroxydiethylammonium phenol sulfonate. The application amount of the above-mentioned agent is 0.05-5kg/ha.
