Description
本発明はトウモロコシの生長促進調整剤に関す
る。詳しくは、第4級アンモニウム塩を含有する
こと特徴とするトウモロコシの生長促進調整剤に
関する。現在、植物生長調整剤は多種、多様のも
のが開発され、植物の生育促進、収量の増大を目
的として、欠くことのできないものになつている
が、性能の向上、安全性の向上、薬害の軽減等に
対する要望は益々大きくなつている。
本発明者等は、これらの要望に答えるべく、鋭
意研究を重ねた結果、トウモロコシの生育促進、
収量を増大させる点において、優れた効果を有す
る生長促進調整剤を見い出し、本発明に到着した
ものである。すなわち、本発明は、
一般式、
[但し、式中R1はC1〜22の飽和、不飽和アルキ
ル基、ヒドロキシアルキル基、R2及びR3はR1と
同じ、R4はC1〜22のアルキル基、ヒドロキシアル
キル基、ベンジル基、Aはヒドロキシアルキル
基、C1〜22のアルキル基を有するアルキルアリー
ル基、水酸基置換芳香族核、ビニル基、スチリル
基を示す]
で示される第4級アンモニウム塩を含有すること
を特徴とする二葉期のトウモロコシに施用するト
ウモロコシの生長促進調整剤を提供するものであ
る。
上記一般式(1)で示される第4級アンモニウム塩
の一般的な製法は、
下記の一般式(2)で示す化合物と、
[但し、式中R1、R2、R3、R4は前記式(1)と同
じ、Xはハロゲンを示す。]
一般式、
A−SO3Q ……(3)
[但し、式中Aは前記式(1)と同じ、Qはアルカ
リ金属、アルカリ土類金属を示す。]
を炭素数1〜6の直鎖ないし分岐アルコール、酢
酸エチル、ジオキサン、メチルエチルケトン、シ
クロヘキサノール等の溶媒の存在下で、50〜100
℃の温度で5〜24時間撹拌した後、0〜50℃のロ
別し生成するアルキル金属ハライドを除去した
後、ロ液を濃縮した後、アセトン、メチルエチル
ケトン等に濃縮物を溶解後、不溶物を瀘別し、瀘
液を濃縮することにより、一般式(1)で示される化
合物が得られる。
本発明の生長促進調整剤の施用量は、1ha当
り、0.05〜5Kgであり、好ましくは0.1〜2Kgで
ある。
本発明生長促進調整剤または、その混合物は、
液体及び/又は固体の賦形剤、もししくは希釈
剤、ならびに、場合により湿潤剤、乳化剤、及
び/又は分散剤を添加した粉剤、粒剤、水和剤、
乳剤、水溶剤等の剤型で散布することができる。
例えば、好適な液体賦形剤は水、メタノール、
アセトン、メチルエチルケトン、エチレングリコ
ール、エタノール、ブタノール、トルエン、キシ
レン、シクロヘキサン、イソホロン、ノルマルパ
ラフイン等であり、固体の賦形剤としてはベント
ナイト、タルク、クレー、カオリン、炭酸カルシ
ウム、ホワイトカーボン等が好適である。
また、湿潤、乳化、分散の目的で界面活性剤が
使用されるが、その界面活性剤としては非イオン
系界面活性剤(ポリオキシエチレンアルキルアリ
ールエーテル、ポリオキシエチレンソルビタンモ
ノラウレート等)、カチオン系界面活性剤(アル
キルジメチルベンジルアンモニウムクロライド、
アルキルピリジウムクロライド等)、両性界面活
性剤(アルキルジメチルベタイン、ドデシルアミ
ノエチルグリシン等)などが挙げられる。
本発明生長促進調整剤を施用するにあたり、乳
剤の形で使用する場合には、本発明化合物10〜50
重量部、溶剤10〜40重量部と界面活性剤0.1〜20
重量部を配合したものを、水に希釈して散布する
ことができる。
また、水和剤の形で使用する場合には、本発明
化合物10〜50重量部、増量剤10〜40重量部、と界
面活性剤0.1〜10重量部を配合したものを水に希
釈して散布することができる。
さらに、粉剤の形で使用する場合には、本発明
化合物1〜5重量部、と無機担体90〜95重量部を
配合したものを、直接散布することができる。
次に、本発明を実施例により具体的に説明する
が、これら実施例に限定されるものでない。
実施例 1
二葉期のトウモロコシ[ハユーバンタム]に
1ha当り、それぞれ0,100,500,1000gにつ
き、第1表〜第4表に示す化合物を1000/ha
の水に溶解後、ノイゲンEA130T[第一工業製薬
株式会社製商品名、ポリオキシエチレンノニルフ
エニルエーテル]100gを加えて溶解し、噴霧器
で均一に茎葉に散布した。処理3週間後に地上部
および、地下部の乾物量を測定した。その結果を
第1表〜第4表に示した。
なお、第1〜第2表中の重量はトウモロコシ50
本中の1本当りの平均重量で示した。
また、第3〜第4表には収穫時のトウモロコシ
50本中に、生長した1本当りの平均可食部のトウ
モロコシの本数を示した。
