Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize a ceramic element body, and to enlarge a capacitor electrode by arranging the capacitor electrode outside such a distance far from the outer fringe part of a vibrating part electrode that it does not influence practically upon the oscillating operation of the ceramic element body, in a piezo-electric ceramic resonator provided with the vibrating part electrode and the capacitor electrode to constitute a resonator. CONSTITUTION:The capacitor electrodes 9, 10 are formed at the distance of a gap g1 respectively on one surface 102 of the ceramic element body 1. Besides, the fringe of the opposite side of the fringe 101 of both the capacitor electrodes 9, 10, is formed into a shape lying along the circumference of a circle 104, which has the same center as the vibration part electrode 2 and has the radius of the distance not giving a practical bad influence upon oscillation generation due to the vibrating part electrodes 2, 3. Then, on other surface 103 of the capacitor element body 1, the capacitor electrode 11 is formed across the gap g1 so as to be opposed to both the capacitor electrodes 9, 10. Thus, the capacity of the capacitor can be easily adjusted by cutting properly the capacitor element body 1 from a fringe 101 side in parallel with the fringe 101. Besides, the area of the capacitor electrodes 9-11 can be enlarged as large as possible.
