Abstract
PURPOSE:To set an independent damping force during low speed running, by a method wherein a check valve having a square-number hole is located in a bypass oil passage through which upper and lower oil chambers are intercommunicated. CONSTITUTION:The interior of a cylinder 1 is divided into upper and lower oil chambers S1 and S2 by means of a piston 4. The piston 4 is provided with an oil passage 5 on the compression side, an oil passage 6 on the expansion side, a valve 7 on the contraction side situated on the piston 4, and a valve 9 on the expansion side situated to the under surface of the piston 4. The upper and lower oil chambers S1 and S2 are directly intercommunicated through a T-shaped bypass oil passage 11 situated to the interior of a piston joint rod 3. In this constitution, when the piston 4 is lowered during a compression process, working oil in the pressurized lower oil chamber S2 flows through a bypass passage 11 to the upper oil chamber S1 to generate a given damping force.
