Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a polymer active material for battery by using 1, 2-di(2- thienyl) ethene polymer. CONSTITUTION:A polymer of 1,2-di(2-thienyl) ethene and its derivative is used as an active material for battery. This polymer is prepared by anodically oxidiz ing a solution obtained by dissolving a monomer and an electrolyte in a solvent in a bath for conducting electrolytic polymerization reaction. A Friedel-Crafts catalyst such as LiPF6, LiAlCl4, FeCl3, and BF3 is used as the electrolyte. A nitro group solvent such as acetonitrile and nitrobenzene is used as the sol vent.
