Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase accelerating properties of an apparatus by making a linear motor coil on a vehicle movable upward and downward. CONSTITUTION:Vertical sliders 3 are fixed before and behind on the top side of the coil 2 of a linear induction motor and are slidably fitted into vertical guide cylinders 4 provided on a support plate 1. Then, coiled springs 8 are respectively fitted to guide shafts 6 each between a flange 5 at the upper end of the guide cylinder 4 and a flange 7 at the upper end of the slider 3. Also, a reaction plate 11 is provided on the track side. When the motor is operated at a low slip frequency, said motor coil 2 and plate 11 pull against each other and the motor coil 2 compresses the spring 8 to lower. Thus, the length of a gap between the coil 2 and plate 11 contracts to increase accelerating force.
