Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve cleaning effect and to obtain the uniformity of electrification without contaminating a contact electrifying member by making a supporting body which has the same set reference join the contact electrifying member with a cleaning member and support them. CONSTITUTION:The contact electrifying member 2 and the supporting body 9 of the cleaning member 61 of a cleaning device 6 are made of conductive members like steel, mold, etc. A positioning reference is decided by a cleaning device container 62 which positions a photosensitive body 1 or an image carrier and the photosensitive body 1 is positioned and fixed by the container 62. The cleaning member 61 is, for example, urethane rubber made of polyester or polyether. The contact electrifying member 2 is a conductive rubber blade made of a rubber elastic body connotating conductive materials like carbon, etc., and decreased in resistance. It is strongly bonded to be fixed to the supporting body 9 by a conductive bonding agent 11 and its lower side abuts on the surface of the photosensitive body 1. Thus, the surface of the image carrier can be uniformly processed in terms of electrification.
