Abstract
PURPOSE:To lower an average density and improve the reproducibility of a thin line by thinning dots of the thin line in font data. CONSTITUTION:Image information which is to be recorded receives the font data printed out onto a printer from a font memory 1a in an image control circuit 1 and develops an image memory 1b equivalent to one page by being controlled by a host computer (HC). When the line is thin, a dot pattern with the dots in a line direction thinned is stored in the font memory 1a, whereby the average density of the thin line is lowered and a tendency for the thin line to be thick is cancelled so as to improve the reproducibility of the thin line. Thinning of the dot pattern is specified so that the reproducibility of an actual final image is improved.
