Abstract
PURPOSE:To stably hold a scale factor as input and output characteristics, by normally operating the scale factor stabilizing circuit of a light interference angular velocity meter even when a phase modulation level is varied by environmental change. CONSTITUTION:The light from a light supply 11 is distributed by a light distributing coupler 26 and the distributed lights respectively pass through an optical path 16 in clockwise and counterclockwise directions and coupled by the light distributing coupler 26 to interfere with each other to be received by a light receiver 21. At this time, the lights propagating in mutually reverse directions are subjected to phase modulation by a phase modulator 22 and the output due to the synchronous detection of phase modulation frequency f0 and the treble wave 3f0 thereof is added to be outputted as an angular velocity signal through a linearizer 43. The output of an adder 42 and the output due to the synchronous detection of the double frequency 2f0 of the phase modulation frequency are squared and added, and the difference with the reference value from a reference signal generating circuit 36 is negatively fed back to a light supply quantity-of-light control circuit 38 through an integrator 37.
