CONSTITUTION: Many plate-like fins of a first evaporator 20 and a second evaporator 21 connected in parallel from each other within a cooling chamber and arranged by a partition plate 22 in such a way that one of them is installed inside and the other of them is installed outside are formed with a film of hydrophilic coating material so as to increase a moisture retention power. Pressure reduced liquid refrigerant is supplied alternatively to each of both evaporators 20, 21 for a specified period of time, circulated cold air is cooled with one evaporator and the other evaporator is defrosted and at the same time, the dew is evaporated in a superior manner within the circulated cold air for defrosting operation. Then, an inner side of the storing chamber can be uniformly humidified under application of evaporated moisture of dew adhered to the evaporators.
