Abstract
PURPOSE:To contrive at enhancing the productivity and the seal effect by setting the width of a scroll lap to be smaller than that of a scroll groove formed in a mirror plate and receiving therein the scroll lap, and by forming the scroll lap from a material having a thermal expansion coefficient which is greater than that of the mirror plate. CONSTITUTION:A scroll blade 6 is formed in such a way that an scroll lap 6b formed in an involute curve shape is fitted in a scroll groove 6c having the same involute curve shape and formed in one surface of mirror plate 6a. In this arrangement, the width H1 of the scroll lap 6b is set to be smaller than the width H2 of the scroll groove 6c. The scroll lap 6b is made of a material, such as engineering plastic or the like, having a thermal expansion coefficient which is greater than that of cast iron or the like from which the mirror plate 6a is formed. With this arrangement, the scroll lap 6b is easily fitted in the scroll groove 6c while the seal effect between the lap 6b and the groove 6c may be enhanced, thereby it is possible to enhance the volumetric efficiency.
