Abstract
PURPOSE:To effectively utilize the operation floor space of a turbine housing, where steam flowing into a main steam line tunnel chamber escapes from the housing through a blow-out panel, by providing the panel on an outer wall on the down side of the operation floor such that it faces this tunnel chamber. CONSTITUTION:An operation floor 11 of a turbine housing 1 is arranged on the top floor where equipment such as high and low pressure turbines 6, 7, and a generator 8 are disassembled upon inspection. A condensor 3 is arranged below the turbine 7, as which condensor 3 a condensor area 4A is formed substantially at the same height with the condensor 3, into which area 4A a main steam line 2 is introduced through a main steam line tunnel chamber 5A below the floor 11. A blow-out panel 10A is arranged on an outer wall of the housing 1 such that it directly contacts with the chamber 5A. It is thus possible to effectively use the space of the floor 11.
