CONSTITUTION:In a radial tire having two carcass layers 3, 3, one carcass layer 3 on the lower side is folded over from the inside 10 of a tire to the outside 11 thereof and turned up around a bead wire 1, while the other carcass layer 3 is turned down outside the turn-up portion. And thereat, one or more reinforcing layers 4 are interposed between the turn-up portion and the turn- down portion. The height h1 of the reinforcing layer 4 is set at 25-70% of a tire cross-sectional height H, and further, the height h2 of the turn-up portion at its upper end 6 is set higher than the height h1 of the reinforcing layer. This constitution makes it possible to aim at improvement in failure prevention and high speed durability at the time of high load.
