Abstract

PURPOSE:To correctly execute the loading onto a head drum without loading forcible operating force, by executing the remaining movement after the tape is once moved and stopped at a third position located in the middle of both positions in the movement between a first position and a second position. CONSTITUTION:In a loading mode, at a first step, a magnetic tape is guided from a first position La to a third position Lc between the first position La and a second position Lb, once stopped, and at the next step, the magnetic tape is guided from the third position Lc to the second position Lb. In an unloading mode, at the first step, the magnetic tape is guided from the second position Lb to the third position Lc, once stopped, and at the next step, the magnetic tape is guided from the third position Lc to the first position La. Thus, in the loading, the forcible operating force is not loaded to the magnetic tape and on the tape travelling path, the loading is executed to a head drum at a correct splicing angle.
