Abstract
PURPOSE:To efficiently produce the salts of org. sulfonic acid by using an electrolytic cell in which an anode chamber and cathode chamber are separated by an anion exchange membrane and electrolyzing a soluble metal as an anode in the electrolyte of the org. sulfonic acid. CONSTITUTION:The electrolytic cell 1 is separated to the anode chamber and the cathode chamber by using the anion exchange membrane 5. The aliphat. or arom. org. sulfonic acid is put into this cell 1 to prepare the electrolyte 7. The above-mentioned aliphat. org. sulfonic acid is expressed by the formula I [where, R: an alkyl group of 1-5C, X1: hydroxyl group, alkyl group, aryl group, etc.; n; 0-3 integer]. The above-mentioned arom. org. sulfonic acid is expressed by the formula II [X2: a hydroxyl group, alkyl group, aryl group, etc.; m; 0-3 integer]. The soluble metal is immersed in said electrolyte 7 and DC 8 is impressed between said metal as the anode 2, 3 and cathode 4 to dissolve the anodes 2, 3.
