Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition improved in Izod impact strength, free from thickness dependency, suitable for automobile parts, electrical parts etc., by incorporating a polycarbonate polymer with specified amount of specific modified hydrogenated block copolymer. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 99-80(pref. 99-95)pts.wt. of a polycarbonate polymer with a molecular weight of >=5,000 (e.g. poly-4,4'-dioxydiphenyl-2,2'-propanecarbonate) with (B) 1-20(pref. 1-5)pts.wt. of either B1: modified hydrogenated block copolymer prepared by adding an organic carboxylic acid (derivative) (e.g. maleic anhydride) to a hydrogenated block copolymer derived from hydrogenation of a block copolymer constituted of (i) polymer block A consisting mainly of one or more vinyl aromatic compound (e.g. styrene) and (ii) polymer block B consisting mainly of one or more conjugated diene compound (e.g. butadiene) or B2: blend of the component B1 with said hydrogenated block copolymer.
