Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid the forming of a sharp edge and to improve a corrosion resistance by bending inwards numerous holes after punching them from the front side in series in the longitudinal direction of a steel sheet and executing zinc plating after welding these two bent steel sheets by combining them. CONSTITUTION:The numerous holes consisting of round hole 2 and oblong hole 3 are punched by a press from the front side in two rows in the length direction of the steel sheet 1 of the specified length. The bent steel sheet 4 on which each hole is located on each face is made by bending it in about U shape with the back side inwards. A reinforcing member 5 is pressed to the orthogonal corner consisting of a major side 4a and center side 4b and a fillet welding 6 is executed at the upper and lower parts thereof. A square pipe 7 is formed by combining a pair of this bent steel sheets 4 by confronting them and executing a butt welding 8. Then after pickling the square pipe 7, it is inputted into a zinc plating tank to execute zinc plating and a cross arm for electric pole is obtd. Consequently the place where no zinc plating is executed is eliminated and the anticorrosion can be improved.
