Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform high resolving power imaging without bringing about a large capacity inclined magnetic field system, by utilizing the theory of super-resolution and a magnetic resonance signal to form data of high resolving power from the data of the small region in the frequency space of a specimen to be examined. CONSTITUTION:As a data collecting sequence, an examinee P is arranged in a static magnetic field and a transmitter 5 is driven by the pulse sequence due to the operation of a sequencer 10 to apply a rotary magnetic field from the transmitting coil of a probe 3 and X-, Y- and Z-axis inclined magnetic field power sources 7, 8, 9 are driven to apply inclined magnetic fields from an inclined magnetic field generating coil 2 and the signal from a selective exciting region is sampled from the receiving coil of the probe 3 and this operation is performed two times to use the previously obtained data in the estimation of a specimen present region and the later obtained data is processed by a super-resolution processor 11e to be used as a diagnostic data. In this constitution, since an object, that is, an imaging range is known by the previous sequence and the sampled data thereafter are subjected to signal processing by a super-resolution method, a large capacity inclined magnetic field system is not brought about and high resolving power imaging can be performed using only the data from a small region.
