Abstract

PURPOSE:To sharply display an arbitrary region to be diagnosed over a wide range, by a method wherein the image data of the region indicated by a marker is taken in the predetermined region of a window memory and the image data of the window memory is transmitted to a frame memory to perform multi- window display. CONSTITUTION:A focus change-over control means 3 has a focus control circuit 13 controlling a focus on the basis of the output of a focus change-over circuit 12 and the change-over control of a focus is performed by an indication means 6 so that the region indicated by a marker becomes the optimum range. A window control means 9 is operated so that the image data of the region indicated by the marker is taken in the predetermined region of a window memory 7 in response to the output signal from a keyboard 11 and a multi-window mode transmits the image data of the window memory 7 to a frame memory 8 and applies said image data to a display means 5 to display the same on windows 141-149 in a divided form. Therefore, the sharp image of an arbitrarily indicated region to be diagnosed can be displayed so as to be allotted to a plurality of windows.
