Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable water supply by a driving water feed pump even if the cooling water feed pump of a reactor pressure vessel loses its function by providing a branch to the main piping of the feed pump and supplying part of the cooling water via a high-pressure tank, separately driven driving water supply pump and jet pump. CONSTITUTION:The cooling water of the pressure vessel 101 is supplied by the feed pump 105 through a piping 104 and the jet pump 106. Part of the pump 105 is supplied as the driving water to the jet pump 106 through the high- pressure tank 108 and the driving water supply pump 109. The pump 106 is driven by this driving water to suck the remaining feed-water from the pump 105 and to supply the same to the pressure vessel 10. The driving of the pump 109 which is separately driven 110 is continued to supply the stored water of the tank 108 when the pump 105 is stopped by an accident. Since the standby system corresponding to the accident is in a normal operating state, the high reliability is provided even on the function at the time of the accident.
