Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a method for carrying out patterning of cloth, capable of applying various designs having durability by one pattern without losing natural abilities of cloth itself by putting a pattern onto the surface of cloth, jetting high pressure fluid from above the pattern and giving a relative speed difference between travel motions of the pattern and cloth. CONSTITUTION: A sheet-like pattern such as a film or stainless sheet in which a pattern is punched, a screen mold for printing or a cloth having a pattern is fixed onto the surface of cloth in contact state or lightly separated state, and high pressure fluid is jetted from above the pattern while traveling the cloth and the pattern. In this case, the pattern is preferably rotated and traveled in endless state and a relative speed difference is provided between the pattern and the cloth by controlling traveling speeds of the pattern and the cloth. Thereby, various designs which are delicate and rich in three-dimensional feeling and does not change by washing or long-term use can quickly and inexpensively be applied to the cloth by single pattern without impairing natural abilities of cloth itself, e.g. hand or touch feeling.
