CONSTITUTION: This breaking roller-driving mechanism for a tension-adjusting device in a fiber machine is provided by supplying necessary electric power for an oscillator 14 and an amplifier 12 through a rectifier from a circuit of a power supply source of an electrode device, inputting the power to a body 5 of a piezoelectric ceramic motor 6, being relayed with a formed surface wave and driving a breaking roller 4 through an elastic insert 10. The above power energizes the elastic insert 10 toward the breaking roller 4 by using a compression ring 11 capable of being controlled with an adjusting ring 9.
