Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the subject device designed to select each specified weft and feed it in an accurate length to a specified magazine, through the control of a plurality of pressure rolls to active or halting position, arranged in the vicinity of the outer circumferential surface of a length-measuring drum based on a previously set program. CONSTITUTION: This device works as follows: whether wefts 18 are fed by contacting a plurality of pressure rolls 11 with the outer circumferential surface of a length-measuring drum 3 (standing at active mode) or the rolls 11 are kept apart from the drum 3 (standing at a halt) is controlled by a previously set program; when the magazine 42 of each of weft carriers 43 comes under the corresponding opening 44 of an injector, the program selects that each of the wefts 18 is to be fed to the corresponding relevant magazine 42, and compressed air is set in full motion and the wefts 18 are fed via the injector to the respective relevant magazines 42; during the process, a yarn brake is actuated to fix each of the wefts 18 on a path from the corresponding bobbin to the length-measuring drum 3, thereby enabling each of the wefts to be fed in an accurate length.
