Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the title composition excellent in shelf stability, flow, etc., of an uncured product, by combining solution A containing a specified filler and an epoxy resin with solution B containing a composite filler, a liquid acid anhydride and a tert. amine. CONSTITUTION:A composite filler is prepared by mixing silica of a mean particle diameter of 0.5-5mum with a short inorganic fiber (e.g., short glass fiber) having a diameter of 3-20mum and a length of 3-300mum at a mixing ratio of a short fiber to (short fiber plus silica) of, preferably, 0.3-0.8. This composite filler is mixed with an epoxy resin to obtain solution A. Separately, this composite filler is mixed with a liquid acid anhydride (e.g., tetramethylenemaleic anhydride) and a tert. amine (e.g., N,N-dimethylbenzylamine) to prepare solution B. Solution A is combined with solution B to constitute a two-pack casting epoxy resin composition.
